Don't get me started, Brilliance and Dpaint are both awesome. Ultimately the true winner is the next one to release an update and my money is on Brilliance III (Once I source the owners down) 
I was one of the authors of the manual for Brilliance. Sorry to say I doubt you’ll get an update. I don’t think the programmers are going to rejoin any time soon and leave their current employers. Sorry!
