Has anyone SUCCESSFULLY connected a CF drive as a master, and a CD/DVD drive as slave on a standard A1200 IDE bus, and been able to use them WITHOUT the use of some kind of 4 port adaptor? If so, HOW?
I swear I did this a couple of years back (if my memory serves me right 
), but regardless of what I have tried over the last couple of days, using all kinds of combinations of hardware/software I'll be buggered if I can get it to work.

I worked on this for about 3 months, I have a 4 way ide buffered, and never could get the CF drive to work with the ide drive on my A1200. I tried putting it on as a master, slave, on the primary cable, on the secondary cable. It works fine by itself but if you ad a CD drive, nothing.
Sorry to give you this news, but if someone out there REALLY has it working on their computer. Let us know how you did it.
