Case Closed!

Just had a look at my eBay feedback log to see when I first started on my 'Return to Amiga' journey. Its been a little over two months since I got an old A2000, and started refurbishing it, and I just 'closed the case' on the (almost) finished job. (Actually, I'll be opening it again in a few days, when my X-Surf arrives). It’s been a long, often times difficult and frustrating learning experience, to say the least. I won't go into detail here all that I've done (saving that for another post), but I can say that it was quite a challenge to my resourcefulness, and sanity. Now, I'm looking forward to playing some old games, and finding ways to improve the stability of the system. Having had a look at some of the posts here, I see that 'unexpected system meltdowns' happen much too often, and, lucky me, I've already had a few of my own. So, for now, I'm not really going to save or do any important work on my system, until I minimize, as much as possible, another such occurrence. That means looking for a viable replacement for my old 4.6 gig scuzzy drive, upgrading my accelerator from 030 (40Mhz), to a 060, and getting backup parts, in the form of another system, solely for scavenging. Until that time, I'll just save everything on floppies, and play a bunch of games. Let's play some Turrican! :-P

How much, by the by? Also, I am looking for a faster accelerator. 8-)
