Did Commodore have a website?
« on: March 07, 2013, 09:07:15 AM »
Just wondering if Commodore ever had a website in the early 90s?  I didn't get on the web until late 1994, but by then most of the tech companies had a website on-line for a year or two.

I know they owned they commodore.com domain (owned by a travel company recently iirc, but seems to be offline now) and the web was starting to become mainstream by 1994, so did they ever have a web presence?

Wayback machine etc. doesn't go back far enough to check sadly.

Iirc the only way in 1994, I could get on the internet was at my school with the use of a Unix terminal and gopher. Mosaic was released in april 1993 - so I also doubt that Commodore had a www presence on the internet in 1994.

That was a full year before they went under though, the reason I asked is I think Microsoft and Apple had presences on the web in late 93/early 94, guess making a website was probably the last thing on their minds in early 94 though.
