English Amiga Board Down?
« on: April 08, 2012, 02:41:04 PM »
Anybody know the status on EAB?  Seems to have been off-line since around Thursday last week!

Hoping it's just some glitch and we haven't lost another valuable classic Amiga forum.

Don't you mean since last night?

It hasn't even been 24 hours yet.

Last time I tried was about 1am on Thurs night and couldn't get on then, tried again yesterday and today, just assumed it had been down the whole time.

Hope it's just server issues then if it's been up and down.

it's true
it seems he is moving to the USA because legal problems with his ex 19 old years wife
take a look at the A1k.org threads

Got a link to the A1k.org thread?

A devastating blow to the classic community if this is the case :(  Also a lot of valuable info lost in their threads.  I guess we'll see if it comes back tomorrow when people are back to work, but it's not looking good.

This would mean Hall of Light is dead too :(

I hope this is not true, it was a very good technical reference with many talented community. I wish I could recover some technical post I made before I joined Amiga.org.

Same, wish I had taken back-ups of some of the sticky threads in the hardware section, HOL is a massive loss too.  Presumably RCK could get some funds by selling Abime off, rather than just taking it down with him?
