Standard AmigaOS up to and including OS3.1 will only work properly with drives of up to 4Gb in size. If you search
Aminet and these forums, you'll find plenty of posts on the topic and what to do to get around this limitation (involves updating a few system files, etc, and/or using a different filesystem than FFS).
