Hi,

The Amiga 1000 does have a 3.5" floppy drive.

I'm not sure what you mean by a 2.5er....

The A1000 requires a Kickstart disk to get it up and running. From there, you will be able to insert game disks or a Workbench disk to bring up the graphical environment.

Hi,

The KICK13.ROM file you've found is a copy of the Kickstart 1.3 ROM file. You won't be needing this for your A1000.

As stated above, you'll need:
1. A Kickstart floppy disk for the A1000
2. Optionally, a Workbench floppy disk to bring up the A1000's graphical environment (e.g. its desktop with drive icons, windows, etc)
3. Game disks

Also as stated above, unless your A1000 has some sort of internal memory expansion, it won't run some A500-based games.

If you don't have any physical Amiga disks, you won't be able to create these from a standard PC.

I think your best bet to get your A1000 going is to find an Amiga user who is physically near to you. Where abouts are you?

Aha... So you have an A500...

Have you received it yet? There's a small plastic insert underneath, called the "trapdoor". Is there anything plugged in under the door?

In any case, the A500 is basically ready to run as far as games are concerned... Just switch the machine on and insert the disk into the drive...

But if you have no games, and no way of transferring stuff from the Internet to the Amiga and then on to floppies, you'll be a bit stuck...

Hi,

Looks like you have a stock 512Kb A500 then. Most games from the late 80s should work fine on that, though some might require a further 512Kb expansion (which plugs into the empty slot underneath the trapdoor).

Although the A500 is asking for Workbench 1.3, it doesn't necessarily need it, and will happily start loading most games without even requiring a Workbench disk.

No problem... There's always eBay for lots of Amiga software, or legal download sites such as Back To The Roots - if you can find a fellow PC and Amiga owner who is able to make the transfer on to Amiga disks for you...

There are ways: you either need to do this on an Amiga itself (which would need to be connected in some way to either a PC or the Internet, or to have software installed on it to allow it to read/write PC disks), or on a PC using a specialist disk drive controller called the Catweasel.
