You could try
QEMU - this provides a much faster emulation and the audio quality is generally better than when under Bochs.
It will also work with your existing Bochs hard drive file, so you won't have to sit there through the Win98 installation again. The only downside I've found with QEMU is that its virtual floppy disk support is poor (or at least it was when I last tried it a few months ago).
