Hi,
I had my A3K softkicked to KS3.1 (its ROMs were only 2.x) but found, in practice, that it ate too much memory on a stock machine - I now have real KS3.1 ROMs.
However, there's no harm in giving it a go, depending on how much spare RAM you've got. I used
SetCPU with
VerCheck, and added a short statement to the beginning of my Startup-Sequence to load KS3.1 if it wasn't present. If you do this, make sure you use a KS3.1 image designed for the A3000 and not the A2000/A1200/A4000 varieties...
