I would imagine its an OpenGL ES compatible driver for Radeon 9000 series cards, that was originally developed for AmigaOS4. I can't imagine where I get that notion from... hmmm... where could I have got that idea? Hmmmmmm.... Oh yes. The news item at the top of this very page!

Maybe they *paid* for a *portable* OpenGL implimentation with Radeon drivers.

Why are you so desperate to find something wrong or stupid with this? Clearly the fact of the matter is that Smiths Aerospace saw something of worth in Hyperions driver software and purchased it. Maybe they didn't want an open source driver? Maybe they have tight memory requirements? Maybe they don't want to run an X based display?

Why don't you e-mail Smiths Aerospace?
