I don't know about the MkII, but I know on the MkIII boards you have to have active termination at BOTH ends of the SCSI chain, as the board itself has none.

This means if your HD has a built in active termination option on it, your SCSI chain should look like:

HD --- CS SCSI --- Terminator

Otherwise:

Terminator --- HD -- CS SCSI -- Terminator

As I said, i'm not 100% sure this applies to the MkII.

ok, well, if they BOTH have active termination, you're sorted, but not everything does.

Well, I'm not sure. All I know is, on the MkIII at least, both ends of the scsi chain need active termination.
