You could always just upgrade your Kickstart unless you are really that stubborn. Your rant reminds me of letters to Amiga Format circa 1999 complaining about software not being compatible with 512kb, OS1.3 A500s. Please dont take offence... I find it kind of quaint that some people are still using <3.x operating systems for their Amigas.
