Hey Guys, I just ran into a old Amiga 4000 with 120meg HDD and 6meg ram and a Syquest 105m removable media thing-a-ma-bopper. I also have an Iyama 17 inch monitor that connects to it though some Analog RGB connector that looks kinda crazy. Anyways I booted the system up into Workbench 3.0 and the graphics look absolutly horrible? From what I've been reading the Amiga 4000 is a good system but I have no idea what i should do with it. Anyone got any ideas on what I should do to make this system useful? Maybe connect it to a network or install some OS that does 640x480x256 or higher resolution/color? Right now workbench looks like its running at 320x200x16. The system also has a 2nd video card in it that when I plug the monitor into it everything is a bit brighter but no increase in color. Anyways I'm a X86 guy so this is completely undiscovered country so what OS do you guys recommend I install on it and where can I get it? Also does they make 10/1000 NIC's for these guys so I can communicate with other computers on my network?
Thanks,
Barnacules
