Or just open the case, unplug the HD and power it on and see if you get a kickstart screen, that's what I do!

Then you should see a kickstart screen after half a minute or so. If that doesnt happen.. i'd go with new ROMs as suggested. I *may* have ROMs that you can have for postage, they are 3.0 ones but hey ...
