TD64 and FastFileSystem question
« on: October 16, 2007, 01:51:45 AM »
I emailed Jens today.. he said I needed to install the TD64 patch from his website. Only problem is, FastFileSystem is in ROM on the A4000D, right? I'm guessing that I need some version of FFS in l: that I can patch. Any ideas on where or how to get it out of rom, or something?

Thanks for all your help guys. I went with SFS instead.. hope i'm not making a mistake, but wow it's a lot faster than FFS. I chose it because it does TD64, and now i'm happily using ~6GB out of my 40GB drive.

Yea. I thought about too, and most of the FFS tools won't work past 4GB anyways..... I have a CD-R for the Amiga so backing up shouldnt be an issue! :)

I have to repartition tonight tho.. but just my work: partition...

One last question... when i'm in HDToolbox setting up partitions, sometimes one looks bigger thant the other, even tho it says they are around 1900MB. Will this cause a problem or should I resize it so that it visually matches the others?

For example:

|##|#########|####|####|####|                                                                 |
  ^        ^              ^       ^       ^
  |         |               |        |        |
250    1900       1900 1900 1900

That's how my partition map looks like. Just want to make sure I don't lose any more data...
