FastATA LOOONG Boot Times

Hey guys,

I got a ZIV Fast ATA installed. It boots, but takes forever. Any ideas? I have a 80GB Drive w/ 52x CD-R. ATA-3 detects both drives, both are connected on the primary channel. Hard drive is set as master and cdrom as slave.

Am i supposed to connect the cable to pin 39 of the ide channel from the fastata card?
