Need some advice on cooling a Blizzard 1240!
« on: June 27, 2006, 11:01:47 PM »
Hey guys, I just purchased a Blizzard 1240, and from what I have read these suckas get pretty hot, which is why they recommend them for towers. I can't afford a tower for about another month or so, is there a way I can add a fan to it? Or a heatsink?  I'd like to use it if possible while i wait on my tower, but I dont want to fry my A1200 in the process.

One last thing... should I remove the shielding from the top or not? Or should I just put the whole thing away until I can afford a case...?

TIA!

Thanks! I am trying to save up for a case. I think the 1240 should have a fan anyways, but just in case it doesnt... :) I'm trying to decide on the Elbox case or the Noblesse. I think shipping from the UK will be pretty expensive, but i'll see.
