We've been using a few for a couple of years as higher-speed HD drives and reading damaged disks. They performed quite well with HD floppies - never tried a 120 MB disk though.
They should work right away with an appropriate mountlist entry or HDToolbox partitioning. Low level read/write will be limited to PC format, there's no way they could read HD or DD Amiga disks. As filesystem you can use FAT for PC data exchange or any Amiga filesystem.
