No, the term resistors do not need to be removed.
They terminate the controller.
If you both use the internal
and the external SCSI ports on
any adapter you
must disable termination on the adapter (remove resistor packs, set jumper, ...) and terminate both ends of the bus. It's not the "controller" that needs termination but the bus.
