News so far:
1950 #1 -- Works in everything but 15KHz modes (this means it's got some whatchamahoozit cooked on the whatchamacallit) I guess this makes it a 14 inch svga montior now...
1950 #2 -- Works fine, has a broken door (the little one on the side that hides the adjustment dials) but the other 1/2 working one has a good case. I might try swapping the case, I hear if I ground the back of the monitor with my tongue it will discharge itself enough to be handled safely...
1084S #1 -- Works great, right speaker doesn't function at all. I suspect it's a bad connector on the back of the monitor, and will open this thing up (again using the tongue grounding technique) to double check if it's the speaker or if it's just the rca plug
1084 #1 -- Works great. (Why anyone would want to use the speakers in a 1084 or 1084S monitor when you can go get $35 speakers that sound as good as anything you could buy in 1987 for $500+ is beyond me.)
2024 #1 -- Works, but has a "loose" or I suppose faulty vertical asjuster dial (I suspect the 2002 beside it was getting fresh during storage, wink wink nudge nudge if you know what I mean). If you twiddle with it for a while you get a perfect display, if you bump it (the dial) it goes all wacky again. This sure is an amazing 4 color display on this monitor! (I might just open it to use the tongue technique just to show it who's boss.)
2024 #2 -- Crap... the magic blue smoke escaped from this one. I didn't have my handy magic blue smoke net to catch it all as it escaped so I can't put it back in... Recycler for this one.
1084S #3 -- WHAT THE HELL kind of mysterious offworld connector is on the back of this thing? I have 3 different 1084 cables but this monitor just scoffs at me when I show them to it. I'll have to check some boxes and see what gives.
1084S #4 -- this is the one on my test bench, it works great, it's the most used of them all, I might keep it to watch TV on in my shop (man these 1084's have an amazing picture for such a small tube).
1960 #1 - Hissed at me. I might have to call a snake wrangler to come check it out. I think there's a python inside it. I'm too afraid to stick my tongue in this one...
Also found 3 monochrome (green/black) TTL monitors in other Commodore boxes. No idea what I'll do with these, also found 2 orange/black ones as well.
Found a Commodore AGA video card in a box here. Before you ask what it is, its a CGA video card for the A2000's video slot. Now I know what the CGA monitors I have here could be used with.
