Well I feel terrible about one of my auction items.

I listed a MultiStart II (which is a new package, with sealed ROM board inside) but when I got curious and read the manual as I was about to package it for shipping I discovered it is missing the cable that attaches to the board and then into the ROM socket of the Amiga.

I've advised the auction winner to not pay me (I will mark it as paid and give them positive feedback) because I just couldn't ship somebody something I knew was useless (without the cable that plugs into the motherboard). Even IF it was listed "as is" and not guaranteed to work that would just be a {bleep}ty thing to do to somebody.

SO... I am hoping somebody out there has a Multiswitch II and is willing to take some photos of the end that attaches to the motherboard (I can make the cable and the plugin) or is willing to write a schematic of the cable (pin 1 - red, pin 14-2, pin 2-3, etc). Otherwise I'll probably end up listing this (again) exactly how it is in case anyone out there needs it and already has the cable part...

I know some people might have just shipped the thing and kept the 70 bucks, but I can't do that in good concience. :-(

Yeah, but there is a cable (looks like an ide cable) that attaches to the board and then goes to another little card with pins to plug into the ROM socket. That's why I was hoping somebody out there has one of these in their machine already and can tell me the pin-to-cable numbers (from red wire, which I know goes into the 'V' side of the ROM socket).

The box and manual do not show an image of this connector and I wouldn't have known it came with one if I hadn't been curious how it attached to the motherboard and so read the manual as I was packing it up.

I have everything I need I think, I have some ROM sockets, I have pin strips, I have breadboards, I have cables, I have a whack of plugs for cables, I have a soldering iron, steady hands... :-)
