Ain't that the truth?  Well I have yet met anyone on here that simply wanted to help out another fellow Aoer and sell outright, it's always on the bay to make that extra (hundred) green back...

Well, if my A3000T motherboard sells for less than the $100 I was offered on here I guess you can apologise later. My words were "you'll probably get it for less than that and neither of us will feel cheated in the end" for a few things people have asked me about on here...

Not to mention the free 68882s, roms, disks, mounts, cables, etc I've sent people on Amiga.org through the past couple years (I'm also Jagabot on here but that account is broken), I've also sent brand new 2000 motherboards with all the newest chipsets just to try to get a person's Picasso II card to work (free), and I've swapped hardware to people with no questions asked (burned at LEAST ten times by names right here on Amiga.org and by "dealers" out there with names everyone recognises).

As an example, the 1200 HD adapters I've listed on eBay for $1.95 (can't list them for the $0.99 I wanted to sell them at because minimum amount for multiples is $1.50US on eBay) I paid $6.00/ea for. Dammit catherder stop trying to rip people off on eBay for the maximum dollar! And the 1200 cable/mount kits I built myself by buying 8 feet of cable and a bag of laptop ide connectors. I guess those should be given away for free too? Or should they be sold for the amount of the parts and nothing for the 3 or four hours worth of making cables?

This is why I want all my Amiga stuff gone and no longer thought about. Too many times burned, too many times conned,  to many people pissing and whining about somebody trying to recover their expenses and time and too much time wasted responding politely to people who expect the sun for nothing. (The loading up a truck and dumping it all off in a landfill is still a really great idea in my opinion.)

In short, don't bid on any of my stuff if you're offended by me listing it on eBay. I've been burned TOO MANY TIMES by people who frequent Amiga.org and any other Amiga website for that matter. At least on eBay I get to publicly ridicule anyone with my mighty & fearsome negative feedback...

But seriously...

I'll get around to letting you know what's in it and it's history eventually. I don't plan to eBay it. It's not "standard" but it is a new old stock case, and it does have some nice "features" (such as one of those fancy schmancy HDDD controllers that support PC drives etc).

It's just not "standard" out of the box new old stock... the motherboard in it, for example, was one of 6 I sent to Amiga France to get new batteries and the components certified (meaning they replaced anything that didn't test 100%). That cost me over $130US per board... On the 5 other A4000's I sold, after all was said and done I made about $115 on each "New Old Stock" machine. Yeah, eBay means you sell your Amigas for millions baby!

Thanks for bidding on one of the 1200s, I hope it works great for you! :-)

Why would I blackball you? Times aren't tough, I'm just as happy to throw all this crap out but I thought I'd give everyone a chance to grab some of it before I did so. I think my perfectly clear intentions stated in my auctions will all by itself keep the prices low...

By saying "no refunds, no guarantee it works" etc on items I know work means I'll more than likely get 1/2 to 1/10th what I normally would...

Yeah, the key to importing parts from the USA is to use USPS ONLY, UPS and FedEx have extortion fees, err I mean brokerage fees...

I will certainly keep you posted on this 4000 once I set it up with a HD etc to let you know what the skinny is.

I'm really really trying to find a 2MB SIM locally that shows up as 2MB chip, all my simms (even 4MB ones) show up as 1MB chip. I've ran into this before, it's just the sims I have are all great 4MB 60ns FAST RAM but in bank 1 they show up as 1MB regardless of jumper settings.

Yeah that's what I had to do before. Except trying to find old double sided SIMMs in a city of 40,000 people is like trying to find a virgin in Las Vegas... I was pretty sure I had some, but they're probably in some super safe storage location that I'll have to stumble across as I am throwing stuff out. :-)
