You might want to check out
HotScripts, PHPBank or other online script resources first. Might save you a lot of time reinventing the wheel. I'm pretty sure there are already "Clan Packs" that include game scheduling etc. :-)
Also, if this gets going, and org doesn't get around to hosting it I can put it on one of my servers if needed.
