As far as I know, that isn't going to happen.  The CPU slots are quite different, and I've never heard of anyone even attempting to create an adaptor board.  I don't think it would be easy, as the A2000 style CPU slot is very similiar (signal wise) to a Zorro slot, and the FAST CPU slot of the A3000/4000 is something entirely different.

[edit] and why would you want to, anyhow?  The 3640 board is really a lousy 040 board, and doesn't even have local fast RAM on it.  And accessing the Zorro2 bus to get to your RAM would hardly make it an improvement over the stock 68000's performance!

And where did anybody state that we are talking about the (relativly rare) CV64-3D ?

Depends on your geography, I guess.  For example, the CV64/3d is much more common in the US than the original CV64.

Anyhow, I guess we are talking about the CV64/3d, which is a ZorroII/III card.  It WILL work in an A2000.

AFAIK, the card, itself, does not require any particular processor.  But, to properly use it, you'll want an 040 or 060 accelerator.  This is because many of the drivers, viewers, and datatypes for the card require these processors.  A video card that has no software that'll run with it isn't very helpful.

Make sense?
