It has been a great many years since I left the world of Amiga's. I have a ton of old computers from that era, most I will throw away

Yikes!  You probably should at least run an ad for them first.  Even if it's just a local "pick this up from me" type of thing.  There's no telling what may have become rare over the years, or what someone really wants to have.  It's really a shame to throw out hardware that old.

As for the Amiga gear, the Bodega Bay is fairly rare.  (I have one of the only three I've ever run across.)  The A500 '030 accelerator is probably fairly rare, as well.  Especially if it has the expanded 32-bit RAM present.  Both have widely varying prices, according to region, condition, completeness, and expansion level.

The DCTV is fairly common, but it's kind of a cool little toy.  They'll still bring $20 and up, depending on location, condition, etc.

And even the basic A500 still brings a few bucks, or is a goldmine of parts for other machines.  A far better fate to part it out so other machines can live than to just drop it in the dumpster.

The big problem is that I live in the UK. I gather that the owner just wants it go to a good home. But if anyone is perhaps going to pick up the 030 accelerator and doesn't want the Bodega bay, I'd be willing to pay them, say $100(?), for them to ship it to me

A word of warning:  Speaking as an owner of a Bodega Bay, I can assure you shipping would be difficult and expensive.

Honestly, I don't know what shipping rates look like to the UK, but even just shipping it across the US would be VERY expensive.  (>$50, most likely)  Remember, the Bodega Bay is a box the DEPTH of an A2000, and the WIDTH of an A500 with a GVP A530 (making it wider than an A2000), and nearly the HEIGHT of an A2000 sitting on top of an A500.

The thing is HUGE.  It's difficult to stress this enough.  I'd have mine hooked up and running, if I had a table large enough to fit it on.  I kid you not.

The box, itself, is all metal, so it's fairly heavy, but the side adaptor that comes down and mates with the A500 is a plastic cover over a thinner metal sheet protecting the adaptor board.  So, its weight coupled with its size and unique shape make it rather delicate.  Especially near the area that plugs to the A500 port.

I fully understand why he doesn't want to sell this item on eBay...  Packaging it would be tough, and the chances of it making it through shipping in one piece aren't that good.  I was fortunate enough to find mine locally.
