apple hard disk drives are same as other scsi drives. the only differences are minos additions to the firmware so that mac os can handle it the best way. you can use these drives as they were standard scsi drives. recently i used apple 800mb drive in a1200 (ata) and 2gb scsi apple drive as boot device for my widozed-pc...
