I was thinking about this some time ago too, since now floppy drives are rarely mounted on new desktop PCs, and since years there are no drives in laptops.
In this view a new Catweasel USB would be great: not just a "USB dongle", if USB floppy drives are treated as mass storage devices through USB stack, but a complete external USB floppy drive with Catweasel interface between drive data bus and USB interface (just an idea for Jens).
