My problem with the entire situation isn't Amiga Inc's business stupidity. Even geniuses have businesses fail due to outside influences.
It isn't the fact that they've defrauded the community out of literally tens of thousands of dollars. Hey, we were stupid enough to give them money on a vague promise when we were blatantly told "hey, this is literally rent money" (Bill McEwen at AmiWest)
The only thing I have against Amiga Inc is the continual stupid outright lies being told by Barry and his ilk. There's even outright evidence of Barry's disregard for the community on the other site where Barry claims they were "scheduled" to move servers -- then went into the schpeel about how it was being done on his brother-in-law's wedding day -- when obviously it was nothing more than a lie as even Ray Akey pointed out. why does "Fleecy" feel the need to lie about EVERY SINGLE THING???
There are even people out there telling us that "I talked to Fleecy and he said not to worry about the lawyers quitting". I can think of two other cases off the top of my head where lawyers quit months into the case.
1) California State versus Charles Manson
2) Florida State versus Eileen Wournos
Those two cases didn't fare so well for the defendent, so if the people saying it really DID talk to Barry, I wonder why "Fleecy" thinks it's some sort of OK thing for Amiga's lawyers to quit two weeks before trial date?
How much more of this are people going to take before enough is enough? Not that it isn't too late, but we're starting to look like idiots to the rest of the world for believing anything Amiga Inc says.
"Amiga Inc is insolvent as a company" -- Bill McEwen in his deposition to the lawyers concerning the case of Thendic/Genesi versus Amiga Inc.
My opinion is that right now, Amiga Inc holding on like a radiated ####roach is simply Bill McEwen's way of saying "screw you" to the Amiga community.
