Greetings mister7!
Always happy to see another A1000 fan around :-)
I'm sorry to say it will be rather difficult, if not next to impossible, to expand your existing A1000. From what I've come to understand the Amiga 1000 computer has always had relatively few expansions in both the past and the present and so you'd be incredibly lucky if you able to find even a quarter of the upgrades you are after :-(
However, that being said, there is one
small hope if you are really keen on upgrading your 1000.
A short while ago a person by the name of McTrinsic from
A1K.org (
see post) told us about a small run of new Phoenix Replacement Motherboards for the Amiga 1000 that had recently been produced for a group in Germany (
more info on phoenix boards) This board would provide you with FAR greater expandability than your current system while still keeping the same look and feel that makes the 1000 so great :-)
Unfortunately the developer of this board is not currently in interested/able to create another run of boards. HOWEVER he has stated that this may change if enough interest were generated to make another production run viable (see bigmac's post
here). Now if this sounds like just the sort of thing you’d be interested you can register your interest on this site:
http://www.techsupportcomics.com/phoenix/index.php If not, and you just want to play some old OCS games then you can always get yourself a bog standard A500 and expand it to suit your needs.
Either way have fun! :-D

Edit: Also be sure to check out A1k.org if you are interested in finding out more about the Phoenix motherboard.
