Amiga Compatible LCDs
« on: March 14, 2014, 05:53:21 PM »
I have been reading that a number of LCD panels work fine at the 15khz modes of the Amiga even though the specs do not confirm this.  I picked an NEC LCD1970NX and it worked fine. I use them on my A4000 and A1200. I have read the the Dell U311H, SR2320L, ST2320L, ST2410, and U2410 also work well.  I was wondering if anyone could confirm whether the U2410F also is compatible?

Just a suggestion. It would be nice to make a sticky post of the known 15khz compatible LCD panels so the list could grow over time as users found more.

On the Amiga 4000 I have to use the silver Commodore adapter with the built in circuitry (for delay), but on the Amiga 1200 I use a regular straight through adapter that I got from Amigakit.

What kind of connector/adapter did you use to connect that LCD?

There's probably too many to make a list, you just need to look for LCD TVs not monitors.  Any TV should work with the Amiga via SCART/SVideo.

I prefer using actual monitors to TVs.  I have never used SCART but read somewhere the the display quality is not quite as good a regular connection.  Do the American LCD TVs have SCART connections?  I was under the impression that was a European standard. I could get an adapter box to use it, but that seems like using the Ambery AV-1.
