AmIRC is better. WookieChat's main strength is that its free. It has most features IRC users need, but it lacks scripting. Maybe when I decide to add that it might be an AmIRC beater.
I can see why people would prefer Wookie over AmIRC, and AmIRC over Wookie. Both are good clients.
