I'm saved!

Once I run DiskSalv on my old 3.1 partition, then my plans to rule the world through my CD32+SX-1 can finally be put into action...

WinUAE FTW!

To bad UAE FTW doesn't mean UEA For The Wii!

Yes, with the help of a Palm serial-ethernet adapter, I will propagate the world (wide web) at speeds of hopefully 115k (no not miles per hour, but bits per second).

Only on Saturday did I find my dkb HIGH DENSITY disk drive!

...

Now if I only had an Amiga mouse...  Then my plans would be complete!

my usb drive wasn't recognized but I may have to plug in the extra usb connector for more power...

Luckily, I have a ps/2 -> AT keyboard adapter handy, thanks for the tip!

It's formatted with FFS and has 2 partitions.
When I checked the device manager with both USB's plugged in, it showed up there but no drive letter was assigned in Windows.  I had to unplug one of them (the second being for extra power) so I don't know if Windows lost it.

I didn't have time to try it again yesterday with both plugged in because I was setting up an old 933MHz Gateway E1600 for my parents with a clean install of Win2k.  So much fun...

Once I get the checksum error fixed, it goes back into the SX-1.  Eventually, the whole setup may go for sale by the end of the year.  I just want to make sure it all works.  My Wii will be giving me an internet connection in the living room with the bigscreen.  The CD32 looks nice using the S-VHS out connector.  If Nintendo starts charging a monthly fee for using the browser after 6 months, I'll just have to hope the hacker community get AROS on Wii to bypass that...

Just a question: Have you ever tried browsing the web with AROS?

No I have AROS Max .48 but I don't think the TCP/IP stack was running despite having an nForce2 motherboard.

Well, I ordered a 2.5"->3.5" IDE hard drive adapter to plug my 2.5" hard drive into my PC.  I was browsing the web with IBrowse back in '96.  But my other partition than contained Genesis and other application may have been an old PFS or SFS...or I just lost everything.  I did dig up a 345MB 3.5" drive that I may have had in a 3.5"->2.5" enclosure...that could very well be my other drive that contains my apps...but I have not idea where I have the enclosure...
