I met this guy, bought a multisync monitor off him for $20 or so, seemed like a decent bloke at the time, he seemed pretty pissed off with ebay as are we all at some point or another. I asked about his 1200s and he mentioned he was selling some. I honestly don't have a clue why he thinks his 1200s are worth so much, I have never seen them go for that much without some kind of PPC card. He also sells on OZTION.

what a nut, if he was asking a reasonable price I would understand but he is just asking for way too much.

blizzard mkIV is worth 200 max on evilbay and an unexpanded 1200 usually goes for around 170. An 8meg card is worth around 50. You would always get less if you dont separate.

But seriously, thats the attitude of someone living in Narre Warren (Bogun suburb, and ex home of our favorite party thrower), definitely a suburb worthy of extinction.

erm whiteb, remember when I told you I bought a monitor off him... well I'll give you one guess as to which suburb I went to get it mate... and it wasnt Narre Warren.

What can i say capt dropkick do you really look like that

You tell me, we met when I came to your house to buy that monitor which I am happy with and you sold to me for a good price, thanks for that. The only issue I have with your auction is the smashing up the amigas if they don't sell bit. That part made you look a bit nuts. You can sell anything you want for any price you want but if you want my advice:
I have bought A1200s for $170AU from ebay.com.au in the past and would be willing to go as high as $220AU without accelerator. The only time things go much higher is when the bidding is started low. Nobody likes it but that's just the way ebay works. Your original buy it now prices were just ridiculous and you should have done a bit of research first. Or at least started them off at a low price and let people bid for them. Or you could of joined here and asked and people would have helped you come up with fair buy it now prices.

While i'm at it capt dropkick this bloke did sell you your beautiful monitor at the price he wanted not the lies you told earlier that he said he wanted $150.00 for it but never got it?

Where did I say that? I said the monitor sale was a good deal from the start. I have no problem with this guy at all. When he he threatened to destroy the 1200s if they didn't sell for his original high prices all I said was that he was a bit nutty. He has since dropped the prices and removed the note about destroying them. So I have no issues at all. You on the other hand obviously have gone to a lot of trouble to defend him and pay out insults, joining a web forum just to insult people.

I have seen 1200s go for under 200 dollars multiple times on ebay.com.au and they weren't rooted. $200 for an a1200 in good nick is a fair price, a blizzard mkIV for 200-250 is also a fair price. 700-800 dollars is a fricken joke. A 1200 with an 8meg card is not worth 400. All this seller is doing is driving the prices up even further because people will use his non selling auctions as justification for selling their 1200s for even more. I hope that does happen actually, maybe sellers will flood the market and drive the prices down. That's why people do buy it now auctions, because they know the cookie could crumble either way.
