A2000... how much should I pay?
« on: July 04, 2005, 01:11:52 PM »
Hi all,

I'm finally in the market for my first 'big box' Amiga and have found http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5215016791&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1">this one and I'm wondering how much I should pay.

I'm thinking $100AUD max.

Also, I think I may be at a disadvantage as it looks like I'll be bidding against someone who's http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=16303">been mentioned in this forum before.

What do we think ppl?

@alexh

I have:

A1200 - OS3.9, 030 @ 40Mhz, 32Mb RAM, 4.3Gb HD, 4xEIDE, external 8xCDROM, 10Mbit PCMCIA network and Commodore 1960 multiscan monitor. My 'serious use' machine.

A600 - No extra RAM (yet), 1.3Gb HD, occasionally plug in the 10Mbit PCMCIA network for downloads. My 'gaming-in-front-of-the-TV' machine.

A500 x 2 - one with 1Mb, still looking for a HD/RAM combo, http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5211915548">this one went a bit high for me which is a pity coz when I sold mine, just over a decade ago, with my A500 and some great games it was for less than that. But I really want a GVP A530.

CD32. Ouch. My 2nd 'gaming-in-front-of-the-TV' machine.

@BenShep

Yep, I like to get an A3000 someday too. And maybe an A4000.

Amigas are my hobby and nowadays I'm really only interested in 'collecting' them.
