Manu we do. I just don't announce because People tend to copy it instead of working together.

It is like pinky and the Brain when pinky says something And Brain says afterwards "i had an idea" : )

Dear Moderators do me and you a favor and delete my Account. Thank you.
No it is not because of that matter. It is because the lack of Fairness regarding news items.
Three in a row is to much for, especially After corespondence which Stated my news on aw where better Suited than my submited Text do amiga.org . Thisctime I used a copy of the amigaworld entry....... Tzzzz.

Oh and if you are technically able to delete all my posts, please do. No not please, i ask you to do so.
Thank you.

I must say Im a bit sad to read this. While I do have a A1200, and are sticking to AOS and for the most part buying my hardware from Amigakit; Ive always enjoyed reading AROS+MorphOS news too.
Moderating out/away newsitems from these parties only helps to alienate overall, which is not what this rather small community needs.

When it comes to the "copying of ideas"; I would think that its something Amigakit/Aeon has decided on their own accord. For example Steam storefront is extremely successful, and have been for years, so its hardly new or unproven. Additionally its something Ive called for for years on Amiga.org and AW when there have been "what do the Amiga lack/need and future ahead" kinda threads :P

When it comes to the Storefront app; one of the most "important" features from MY point of view is the Chat feature. While I do use Steam quite a bit to shop and keep track of my software library, I use the chat almost daily too. It creates "loyal" users since people enjoy chatting with their gaming buddies or even real life friends they have added to the chat.

Currently the first news item is MorphOS related and the third is AROS related.

Aye. Tho there seems to be/have been some friction lately, so Im a bit curious about it all.
Maybe its nothing major, but if nothing else  Im querying to get this up in the open. Its not the first time Ive read something about this.
I might not read enough or paid close enough attention, but phoenixkonsole's posts in the past has always seemed quite positive and relaxed. So if something has annoyed him it has gotten me somewhat curious.

(tho the cynics would say; what is the amiga community without drama) :)

Hi Niding

The last few weeks I have been working on the message queue and putting in the foundations for the chat system.  This week, a few distractions from the work: I am also working on PrismaControl software and I am currently exhibiting at the Play Expo show this weekend so cannot resume work on AMIStore until I return next week.

A lot more features are planned to be added to AMIStore but feature creep is always an issue.  I am pleased to report that the Beta testers have been very helpful in suggesting UI changes and better ways of doing things as work has commenced over the last year. So I am very grateful for their help :)

:) yey! Now I just have to convince my current steam friends to use Amiga...OR, God forbid, make new friends o.0

I see that similar...

Finally the developers will decide where to put their software. It seems that Amigakit/A-eon support 3rd party developments, I could guess that they try to get some of the software exclusive on their app store. But other than that everyone can decide where to sell or distribute what he creates. I only hope that this platform will be open for news regarding new software even if it sold on the other store and not only this one.

I see your point, but adding news/items not contained in AmiStore for example will just be confusing for users (even tho the available software AND users are in orders of magnitude lower than for Steam). Whatever I read on the frontend of Steam I expect to be available/usable for Steam.
