Is MacroSystems DeInterlace 2000 card a scandoubler too?

I got with the A2000 a Marcosystems DeInterlace 2000 card... so, I was wondering if it is a scandoubler or just a flickerfixer....
can't test at the moment since the A2000 mobo was dead...
BBOAH says nothing about scandoubling, but Amiga Hardware Database says it is one... anyone has one to enlighten me on the matter?

BBOAH must mean that this one does not recognise the Productivity modes, and it just stays blank...
amiga.resource.cx clearly states that is doubles to 31khz, and on the German manual it says in the intro that an amiga monitor is no longer suitable, the user must have a VGA one...

I ma getting a replacement 2000 mobo that has the ECS chipset... will I have any problems displaying games with that? (for wb I will use a picassoII)

I asked because on amiga.resource it says it has partial ECS support...
