D@n: For $100..? That would give you two halfbad satellites, or REALLY crappy 2.1.

But hey, I'm the owner of a pair of high-end 3-way active speakers (active = one driver, one amp) with Seas Excel and Scan-Speak drivers. Unless I can close my eyes and sit infront of a live performance, it's crap :-)

iamaboringperson: AFAIK the old Nautilus was all hype (considering the pricetag). Dunno about current Nautilus, though. Go for quality like Eltek Euforia. They will only cost you about $3000. It's 2-way speakers with a single Scan-Speak Revelator between two custom made Seas Excel 6.5" bass/midrange's.

In general Euforia is a serius step down compared to my own speakers. But Euforia is still rated above the original Nautilus speaker (and some other >$10000 speakers)  by most HIFI magazines.
