The crunchers for the Amiga were StoneCracker, Imploder and PowerPacker. The best one was StoneCracker IMHO.
I suggest experimentation to figure out which one is best for you (they have different features and capabilities).

As there were various versions of these applications, here is what I know about them:
The last version of StoneCracker I know of was v4.10.3 professional, compiled 4-Jan-94 (using STC.library version 3.322). It's public domain as long as you don't make any money with it.
The last version of PowerPacker Professional I know of was version 4.1a compiled 23.8.92. Note that it was a commercial product, not PD or shareware. The last version of powerpacker.library I know of was v36.10.
The last version of Imploder I know of was v4.0 (30-jul-91). It was Freeware. The last version of the library that goes with Imploder (that I know of) was explode.library v6.0.64 (28-Oct-91 18:19:15) - and the AmigaOS 3.9 version command mungs it's version string :)
