If by chance flashman does have a scart tv (sadly a very rare thing in NZ), or plans on making up some other type of cable that attaches to the graphics port, Dick Smith still have a few (part P2697): 23 Pin D-Type Skt Solder Tail.  I can only hope you're near one of the few stores that still have them flashman!

For the A520 route, there is one on Trademe at the moment: A520.  
Type "amiga" into Trademe's search box, there are also a few monitors being auctioned in Hamilton.

In NZ our most common connectors to traditional tv sets are composite (rca based) and rf, with s-video coming a distant third (although this is not true of LCDs and plasmas and the like).  There is also component video (rca based) on some TVs, although I don't know how common it is.

There is another path that would offer colour rca output, and that is a board like the A2300 genlock.
