fs: Amiga 4000 / E-box tower / Mediator
« on: July 01, 2007, 12:53:07 PM »
I'm selling my A4000 in an E-Box tower. I used this tower with my Cyberstorm PPC card which died on me a couple of months ago. It's tested with the Warpengine from my A3000T and works fine.

* A4000 mainboard (rev B) with A3640 CPU card (rev 3.1), 12MB fast and Kickstart 3.1
* E-Box tower painted black with ATX PSU
* Mediator board with Voodoo 3 3000, TV card, Soundblaster, Network card and Mediator MMCD
* Black CDTV keyboard and standard mouse
* IDE CDROM, SCSI CDRW, 4GB harddisk with clean OS3.9/Mediator install and a disk drive.

The battery has been removed ages ago but I think there's some damage done because I'm unable to save the time. In the time prefs the save button is greyed out. Everything else works though. Plug in a CPU card and you're ready to go.

PM your offers. I'll list this on Ebay next week.

/update
It now includes an A3640 rev 3.1 CPU board.

Sorry to hear of your loss!

I do have a question about the Rev. on the mobo, if it is a rev D why would it have battery dammage as they used the flat batt. for this rev that didn't leak and doesn't the board contain an 030 built in?

Thanks.

You're right, I just removed the Warpengine and there's rev B printed on the mainboard. There's also a label near the ram slots wich say's rev D.

Update:

After months not using my Cyberstorm PPC because I thought it died on me. I decided to fire up my other A4000 which has the Cyberstorm in it and to my surprise it's working :-D

The above set now comes with a A3640 rev 3.1 CPU board.

I'm off installing MOS on my A4000 :-P
