@Digiman
A reasonable arguement about Winuae being free if it's what a person was actually paying for with with AmigaForever, which youve been told more than a few times isnt the case, yet you persist with the same invalid arguements.
You also get a legal source of kickstart rom images, plus a legal copy of amiga OS(es), a customised version of knoppix, a customised front end, assorted (entertaining) videos, amiga explorer, and other bits and pieces. Seems quite reasonable for the price to me.
I really dont understand the "logic" in hating someone for trying to make a few dollars back on an invesment, especially someone who has also given away some nice software theyve written for free. Additionally theyve also contributed money to AROS kickstart replacement bounty.
Weird thing is though, youve been told this before, yet you still continue to make negative arguements about things you know the truth about.
Amiga Forever isnt for you, fine, but your invalid "arguements" are getting tiring.
Wow, I totally agree.
As someone who used WinUAE for years and THEN bought AmigaForever I think I can see the difference.
It's mostly about convenience. I can instantly try out an Amiga1000 ! (which I haven't seen in a dogs age)
I can use my A3.9 OS programs. When i had my WinUAE I had to spend a long time setting it up. With AF, it's almost instant.
I can try out AmiKit (although mine got borked for some unknown reason), and AmigaOS. Which is great because these are ready made setups.
PLus, the Premium Edition has historic videos and images. I am one of these people that believes in keeping History alive.
Plus, the updates are automatic - assuming your system is online, of course.
contrary to what some may think my money was well spent and I like my AF.
