HA! this is a good find!
the "pinko" and "strumpet" are both a bit too extreme to fit me. (Oliver Stone is a silly person. can't take his films seriously) and I don't think the "entire history" of the US is "an unbroken legacy of avarice, deceit and injustice."

there have been many good things about america. really.

I do think it's doomed at the moment and that the Great Experiment is over, but I'm looking at the Big Picture. the 20th century will be known as the American Century and it's downhill from now on. Of course, when i made this assessment at the end of the last century I didn't realize Bush would be there to kick the ball down the hill so quickly.
