it wont boot the amiga, if its one way round,  but the other it boots fine, oh well, at least theres a 50% chance of getting it right first time, lol

but how do i know it works? does it have some diagnostics software? or somesuch.....to be honest it has pretty much no functionality for me, since i have braudband through my ethernet card, but i needed something to go over the clock port to stop some metal on the inside touching it if it slid.
the oher option was a 44 pin ide header, which was about 31 pence less expensive...mm ebay but i thought i might as well have something seful instead of nothing, right?...
also does anyone know what the pinouts of the serial connector is, im thinking that i should change the 25 pin for a 9 pin one.....

time to get that damn modem back off my mate (pace56k external - i'm sure this'll work with amiga... though, never tried)

figired it out, cheers mate.
also took a 9 pin sub d with cablefrom a pc serial and checked to see wether the pins were compatable, its now got a 9pin adaptor in it instead of the 25 pin one

got the info on how it'd fit from HWB. according to that its should work

thanks for the info anyway :)
