Porting StormC to OS4 is very welcome. Hopefully someone picks the joboffer.

Shouldn't be too difficult. We've already done the compiler toolchain that could be used, and with GDB we also have a source code level debugger. A nice GUI frontend for gdb would be very welcome indeed.

And double-clicking on an error message is definitely more comfortable than anything else :-)

I wonder how womseone will port software on AmigaOS 4 while it's still no available ...

Quite easy - you sign up as a beta tester. The beta testers already have access to the SDK, and some of them are already adapting their stuff to OS 4.

Just because it isn't available to the public doesn't mean that no is is developing on it.
Heck, you can even use gdb for debugging :-)

Personally, while I think that adding a good IDE to gcc and gdb is pretty crucial in encouraging new developers, I'd prefer to see an open source effort.

The existence of a commercial IDE does not prevent an open-source one from emerging. I'm sure there are a few open-source candidates for that that could be converted :-)

What is so shameless about that plug?

I don't grow tired to mention it...

But it needed to be ported to AmigaOS (AFAIK there are only Unix and Windows versions available), and Rogue was the one who did it.

Actually, Thomas did it, not me. :-)

Sorry, Hans-Joerg. I hope you'll understand if I get the two of you mixed up
