Test, test, is this thing on?  (Thanks for all the test replies, I'm really not clueless, it just didn't work at all last night.)

Hi,
I got an A1000 the other day for free.  It's got a load of disks, 512k, starboard2 w/2MB, ext. 3.5, ext 5.25.  I fixed a bunch of keys on the keyboard.

Anyway, some of the disks are sketchy.

Can I make a copy of the kickstart disk with 'DISKCOPY'? (I'm not sure if it's any different than any other disk).
If so, can I use 3.5 HD disks?  I tried and got a 'bad sector number' error.  Do I need to explicitly format them first?

One other question.  I was playing Marble Madness as a first test of the system.  It worked fine, but I couldn't 'quit'.  Do most games just require a reboot when you're done playing?

I used to have a c-64 with 1541, right when they came out.  It's fun to be getting back into it (I also got a c-128 with 1571 for free.  They're used, but still in the original boxes.)

Thanks for any help.  I hope I'll be able to contribute shortly.  (If you need to know how to fix stuck or non-functional A1000 keys, let me know   :-D ).

Sorry, I didn't realize I'd get split second responses.
