FastATA1200 + Mediator + Lyra???
« on: October 29, 2016, 09:40:22 AM »
I have a A1200 with a Mediator LT4, Indivision AGA (latest version) and a Lyra (not version 2) PS-adaptor. Works fine with my BlizzardPPC :-)

I am considering upgrading with a FastATA 1200 MK-V CF/SATA and I know that I need to buy a Mediator 1200 Riser kit to make it fit under the Mediator.

However I have also read somewhere that the FastATA1200 collides with the Lyra and maybe also the Indivision. Is that the fact and is there a solution?

Great idea and very cool :-D

So just to completely clear: If I install this and a Mediator Riser Kit I can use my Mediator LT4 on top of my Indivision AGA 1200 MK2cr my Lyra PS-keyboard adaptor AND expand with a
FastATA 1200 MK-V IDE CF/SATA??

Ok. Would be great to have the flat version. If it is possible ... and it does the trick. I do not think that I am the only one with this problem :-).

Regarding fitting the 40 pin connectors under the mediator Elbox says that you have to remove the plastic holder from the primary port:

But then again they have probably not use a riser to move the ROM sockets out of the way so it will be tight.

Hmm, that gives me another idea to try next week:  maybe we can make right angled 40-pin IDE socket for primary port.

Any news on this? :-)

Hi

Yes - some of the parts we have to do this already

Would you prefer box header for the right angled IDE or a regular non-boxed version like the original FastATA

I was taking a look at my A1200 with Mediator and it is quite dark down there to plug in the header so I presumed a boxed version would be more preferable

Great :-D

And yes a boxed header seems like the way to go!
