A4000/030 near mint for sale
« on: January 18, 2007, 10:50:37 AM »
Hello folks,

My brother is selling his A4000/030 desktop with keyboard, mouse and a Commodore 1942 multisync monitor.  He's thinking of putting it up on eBay but if there is someone here (US only sorry) willing to make a decent offer we could perhaps do a private sale and you could avoid all the nastiness of bid sniping, etc. on eBay.

This machine is about as mint condition as they come, it's got 2M chip/16 fast on the m/b with all RAM sockets intact, socketed Superbuster Rev.9 (can be replaced), new NiMH clock battery (absolutely no damage to m/b traces as it was replaced several years ago), case has no scratches or rusty fingerprints on exposed metal surfaces, 1.76MB high density floppy, 300MB Maxtor IDE hardisk, 3.1 ROMs on m/b w/ 3.1 OS installed.  The front case has only very slight yellowing but not bad.  The Commodore 4000/030 plate on the case still has the protective plastic covering.  The keyboard works fine but is missing the tab key (can be fixed if taken apart). Pictures are available if interested.

All in all a great A4000 for someone to start out with (we'd like to see it go to a good home).  Please pmail if you are interested.  Thanks.

The machine is in Mass.  He's looking to get around $350.00 for it, computer, keyboard, mouse and monitor.  That's what they seem to be going for on eBay atm.  He also has the original manuals for it, including the AGA supplement and HD install manuals from Commodore.  What's more you'll also get a silver C= 23-15pin RGB-VGA adapter for use with the 1942 monitor.

Picture uploaded, see A4000 images section.
