I think there's probably a good market for such a beastie.  If it cost say $30.00 or so, I think people would buy them.  Replacement A4000 supplies cost $50.00+ for used units and they are only 145W or so.  Even if you didn't want to make the investment, if you could do a schematic or 'how to' guide on converting an AT to 4000 p/s, I for one would be thankful.  btw, I can't believe anyone would pay $50.00 for an ATX to 4000 adaptor like on eBay.

I think the problem with AT supplies in general is that the form factor of the pcb is much wider than the A4000's supply pcb, therefore you'd need a really small AT supply pcb or probably rotate one 90 degrees to make it fit in the original 4000 p/s box.

yeah, the desktop p/s connector is a relatively rare six pin jobbie, the tower m/b uses a different connector entirely, afaik

Well, if you have access to old PCs, AT supplies are easy to come by.  I have one from an old Pentium Pro server that has both the standard AT and ATX connections.  It'd be great to mate that with my 3000T motherboard.  I too have wanted to do this for some time (bought the motherboard a long time ago) but haven't been able to locate the definitive schematics for the m/b power supply connector.  Let me know what you come up with.  The 3000T is kind of an orphan, maybe cause they made it in Germany?? there doesn't appear to be a lot of info on it.
