I wouldn't even bother with the A2090 card nor the MFM drive.  It's really outdated and a pain in the arse to set up.  Take the advice of the others and pick up a real SCSI-I/II controller like the A2091 (w/ v6.6 or v7.0 ROMs), a GVP Impact controller, a Supra, DataFlyer 2000, ICD SCSI2000 or even an old AlfaData controller.  They go on eBay for sometimes less than US$20 (that's like 15 Euros!).
