Oh, also, for goodness sake make sure you wear gloves at ALL TIMES! You may not feel it during the application, but come a few hours later you could be seeing strange little white dead skin patches and irritation on your hands which will probably need cortisone to cure.
That's a good idea, but the little peroxide burns are nothing to wory about. It's just dead skin cells anyway. I used to get this from 20% hydrogen peroxide solution splashing on me, and other than occasionally getting a bit itchy, it was not a problem.
Hydrogen peroxide is pretty harmless as far as reactive chemicals go.
I rinse my mouth with 3% straight from the bottle every time I floss my teeth.
